Will and I are in Colorado visiting family and we brought a little Minnesota with us - hand harvested wild rice from the Farmer's Market. I also brought along Sue Redmond's wild rice burger recipe to try. I was hoping it would be similar to the Fitgers Burger in Duluth. Sadly, it was not, but still a good recipe to try. Next time I'll definitely use more wild rice and pump up the flavor with my favorite herb trio: Italian parsley, chives, and fresh dill. It would be a nice alternative for those of you looking for a healthier 4th of July feast.
